CEROC STANDARD WORKSHOPS
These Workshops allow you to learn, in depth, technique which cannot be taught thoroughly enough during casual classes. Good technique is very important and attendance is essential if you care about becoming a dancer others want to dance with or watch. There is a workshop to help you through each stage of your learning so you can progress steadily focusing on only a few relative topics at a time.
Essential Basics Workshop - Part One:
Suitable for Beginner & Beginner Plus level dancers.
Every Ceroc dancer needs to learn these basic techniques as soon as possible to ensure you progress at the best rate you’re capable of. You will be given a good grounding in:
Handholds, Cross Pressure, Basic Free Turns. 1:00pm Sunday 11th April 2010
Essential Basics Workshop - Part Two:
Suitable for Beginner & Beginner Plus level dancers.
Carrying on from Essential Basics Part One, you will learn about:
Balance & Posture, Body Flight, Basic Assisted Turns, Basic Rhythm & Timing. 2:00pm Sunday 11th April 2010
Essential Basics Workshop - Part Three:
Suitable for Beginner Plus level dancers.
Carrying on from Essential Basics Part One & Two, you will learn about:
Basic Leading & Following, more Rhythm & Timing, Adding & Creating Style, Freestyling. 3:15pm Sunday 11th April 2010
Spins & Dips Workshop:
Suitable for Beginner Plus level dancers.
Along with the techniques taught in the Essential Basics Workshops, you’ll need to know how to do these spins & dips to be ready for Intermediate level. We teach you:
How to perform perfect Double Free & Assisted Spins.
The balance, posture & safe execution of Seducer Style Dips. 4:30pm Sunday 11th April 2010
Drops & Laybacks Workshop:
Suitable for Intermediate Plus level dancers.
Along with the techniques taught in the Workshops above, you’ll need to know how to do these moves to be ready for Intermediate Plus level. We teach you:
The techniques required for the safe execution of unsupported drops (e.g. Ballroom Drop) and Laybacks/Swaybacks. 6:00pm Sunday 11th April 2010
