Wedding Dance

There’s no need to just shuffle around in circles. Your wedding day is one of the biggest days of your life and we can help you add a touch of magic to your first dance together of your married life. Even if you’ve never danced before it won’t take long to teach you a dance to suit that special piece of music you’ve chosen. Your guests will be impressed and it will be the ‘icing on the cake’ of your special day which will be remembered for years to come.

It is best to start your lessons at least 8 weeks before your wedding but book them well in advance (especially coming up to the popular wedding months) to be sure to have the best choice of suitable lesson times.

Most couples choose a song which has special meaning for them. We then discuss and agree on the style of dance which best suits you and the song. If you want to dance just basic movements, allow around 2 – 3 hours in total. Your first lesson would be one hour then subsequent lessons either half or one hour. If you want more intricate steps or a ‘specially choreographed routine you’ll need to allow more hours for lessons and give yourself more time before your wedding.

Your lessons are just you and your dance Teacher with nobody else around although we can teach your entire wedding party if you wish – this can be a lot of fun especially if you have a themed wedding.

Learn to dance ‘one-on-one’

You may have reasons you’d rather not learn in a group class. We can teach you any dance you want to learn on an hourly basis, one-on-one with your Teacher.

Refresh your memory

If you’ve learnt to dance before but haven’t had any practice for a while, a private lesson can remind you of the dances/moves/techniques that you are trying to recall. Usually it just takes one lesson to jog your memory and get you dancing again.

Refine your skills

If you’ve been learning in a group class but want to improve your dancing with personal attention from your Teacher, private lessons can be arranged on an hourly basis.
